Trangie is a small country town in regional New South Wales. It is part of Narromine Shire local government area. At the , Trangie had a population of 849.
The tennis player Lesley Turner Bowrey was born here in 1942, as well as rugby league player Justin Carney.
William 'Bill' Sissian was of great service to Trangie, building the racecourse stables. The Sissians also owned the newsagency in 1964-1982.
